Damiana - sexual stimulant
Common Names: Damiana.
Parts Used: Leaves.
Bodily Influences: Damiana has been the traditional remedy when sexual debility increases due to abuse or advanced age. Although its use has been discouraged and ridiculed by "medical science" and a person no longer sees it in traveling medicine shows, these bitters still have their place today. Those who have used Damiana and see that it works wonder why others try to argue that it does not work. Although Damiana is reported by users to have a definite effect of sharpening a person's perceptions, no claims are made for correction of emotional or psychological problems. Motivation for sexual continuance remains a personal matter. On the physical level, Damiana knows its job and when allowed to work, it will work. William Meyers, M.D., of Philadelphia describes it in glowing terms as a dependable and consistently effective remedy in all cases. Care should be taken not to over stimulate by use of Damiana beyond the internal strength of the person.
Recommended Dosage: 30 to 40 drops two to three times per day. Be prepared to wait for 10 days before the full effects are noticed.
