Boneset - Viral flu, fevers
Common Names: Thoroughwort, Teasel, Ague Weed, Joe Pye, Fever Wort, Thorough Stem, Thorough Wax, Cross Wort, Wood Boneset, Vegetable Antimony, Sweating Plant, Indian Sage, Tearal
Parts Used: Whole Herb
Boneset Is a gift of Native American Indian medicine, much appreciated by those who pioneered and settled the West, to correct colds, flu and what we know now were virus conditions. Boneset Pure Herbs Liquid Extract is especially helpful in viral flu and fevers with aching bones and muscles and bowel pain.
Boneset Pure Herbs Liquid Extract encourages sweating to reduce fever and discomfort by expelling poisons and cooling. Modern investigative evidence does indeed reveal that Boneset causes the body to produce a substance in the liver called interferon, which, in turn, causes proteins to be made by the body cells that cause the destruction of viruses.
DOSE: 1 tsp. of Boneset extract to 1 cup of hot water (preferably distilled or spring water, not tap water) taken hourly until relief. Then, 3 to 4 times daily until all symptoms are gone.
PREVENTATIVE DOSE: To avoid viral conditions such as described above, take a maintenance of 40 to 80 drops per day. For others, use as given above.
Possible directions on label: For adults, mix 2 ml of extract in 2 oz (60 ml) of water one time daily preferably with a meal.
