Quince (Cydonia vulgaris) Pure Herbs Liquid Extract used Historically for Skin care, hair.
Common Names: Golden Apple, Quince Seed
Parts Used: Fruit
Quince Pure Herbs Liquid Extract is made from a tree, about the size of an apple tree, which grows wild in Persia. From there it has been much planted throughout Europe and North America for its fruit, seeds and as an ornamental. The fruit has an acid taste and produces a calming effect.
The esteemed American Natural Practitioner, Jethro Kloss, used the juice to rub on the scalp to correct thinning hair and to prevent hair fall and to grow hair again where the roots were not dead. The covering around Quince Seeds makes them quite slippery, when wet, and produces a soothing and toning affect when applied to the skin as a skin care regimen. The seeds are also used to make a tea, or Quince Pure Herbs Liquid Extract, for soreness of the mouth and gaseous, stress related disorders of the stomach and or intestines. Quince Seeds can be used as a gentle bowel cleaner and to clear up an irritated or dry cough.
Recommended Dosage: 80 drops, as needed, for gaseous conditions. For coughs, 40 drops hourly, as needed. Apply to the scalp, at least once per day, for hair conditions as described above. For sore mouth conditions, hold 80 drops in the mouth as long as comfortable and repeat as necessary. As a bowel cleaner, 1 to 3 teaspoons each evening.
Possible Directions on label: For adults, mix 2 ml of extract in 2 oz (60 ml) of water one time daily preferably with a meal.
