NSP’s Qemp (Quality Hemp) CBD line was developed to provide quality CBD oil products which will enhance herbal programs and help the endocannabinoid system to return to balance. The endocannabinoid system in the human body is a fairly recent discovery and the continuing research discovers more aspects of how it works every day.
What is CBD?
CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a compound commonly found in the hemp plant that can activate the endocannabinoid system, which in turn regulates the optimization of several other body systems. *
What is the THC content?
The qemp products have 0.3% THC or less.
Is it marijuana?
No, hemp is not the same as marijuana. Hemp has 0.3% THC or less, which makes hemp ideal for making our whole spectrum hemp extract.
Is it legal?
The laws vary throughout the country. Purchasers should check with their local lawyers prior to possessing, using, transporting, distributing, or selling the qemp products. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure he or she is educated on and obeys all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding the possession, use, transport, distribution, and sale of the qemp products
Wikepedia’s definition of the endocannabinoid system is:
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids, which are endogenous lipid-based retrograde neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors (CBRs), and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are expressed throughout the vertebrate central nervous system (including the brain) and peripheral nervous system. The endocannabinoid system remains under preliminary research, but may be involved in regulating physiological and cognitive processes, including fertility, pregnancy, pre- and postnatal development, various activity of immune system, appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory, and in mediating the pharmacological effects of cannabis.
Two primary cannabinoid receptors have been identified: CB1, first cloned in 1990; and CB2, cloned in 1993. CB1 receptors are found predominantly in the brain and nervous system, as well as in peripheral organs and tissues, and are the main molecular target of the endogenous partial agonist, anandamide (AEA), as well as exogenous THC, the most known active component of cannabis. Endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG), which is 170-fold more abundant in the brain than AEA, acts as a full agonist at both CB receptors. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a phytocannabinoid that acts as a rather weak antagonist at both CBRs and a more potent agonist at TRPV1 and antagonist at TRPM8. It is also known to be a negative allosteric modulator at CB1. CBD has been found to counteract some of the negative side effects of THC.[
The bottom line is the endocannabinoid system is found throughout the body, primarily in the brain and nervous system, and affects every part of the human body and its functions.
It has been determined there are two types of CBD receptors CBD1 and CBD 2. The infographic shows where each of the receptors are active.
Using a quality CDB product like Qemp can help enhance the body’s ability to heal.
There are many companies and individuals producing CBD products. I am sure some of them produce quality products, the question I always ask, is there proof of the quality and many do not have that proof available. Transparency is one of the qualities I value in Nature’s Sunshine Products. At any time, the information on testing and quality on their products is available to anyone. NSP has made it even easier with the Qemp line. On the bottom of each page is access to a pdf of the Certificate of Analysis for every one of their Qemp products. There is also a QR code on each box you can scan and get the certificate of Analysis with a scanner on your cell phone.
Since anyone can purchase Qemp products at member prices (25% off retail) on www.qemp.com as long as it is legal in their state, there is no reason to use a product you do not know the quality of or even if has been tested at all.
The Qemp line from Nature's Sunshine products currently has 8 products. If you click on the link it will brink up the Certificate of Analysis. Since Qemp is still not legal in all states it requires purchasing directly from Qemp.com
