Emergency Preparedness is something everyone should become educated about.  In today's world where we never know what to expect from day to day, it is important to be prepared for any type of emergency we might face.  Too often we think there is plenty of time tomorrow and put preparations off, or assume someone else will do it for us.  It is time to quit expecting others to provide for our needs and start preparing for every eventuality.

Once you have decided to be prepared for an emergency, it is a good idea to make a plan on what type of emergency to be prepared for and what type of equipment will be necessary.   There are many books and websites that help with emergency planning.  The FEMA site has free downloads of emergency contact forms and supply lists.

How much food, water and supplies you store are up to you.  Whatever you decide there is never a better time to start than today.
